The process is the same whether you need a simple tidy or a full garden design — but the conversations, timelines, and decisions differ. Here's what to expect either way.
Use the form on the homepage. The first question asks what kind of job it is — maintenance, restoration, a landscape design, or a new build plot. From there, the form adapts and only asks what's actually relevant to your situation.
Upload a photo if you have one. A phone snap is genuinely all we need — we're not judging composition. If you're working from plans or a bare plot, a photo of those works too. No photo at all? Add a description instead.
We'll get back to you — usually the same day — with a warm note, a rough indicative figure or a consultation proposal, and a clear next step. For maintenance and restoration jobs that's usually a ballpark price range and an offer to visit. For design and new build enquiries it's a proposal to book a design consultation.
This step is entirely free. Many people sit with the response for a week before deciding to go further. That's completely fine — there's no follow-up.
This step works differently depending on your job type.
For maintenance and restoration: a small inspection fee (£35–£80 depending on distance) brings Gordon to your garden to assess it in person. He'll measure, check access, and answer every question. The fee is fully credited against your final invoice if you go ahead.
For landscaping and design, or a new build plot: this becomes a proper design consultation — typically an hour at your property. We take measurements, talk through your vision in detail, discuss what's realistic for the budget, and ask the questions that turn a vague idea into an actual brief. The consultation fee is agreed before we book.
Within a day of the visit, a clear quote or written proposal arrives on your phone. For maintenance and restoration jobs it's an itemised quote, line by line. For design and landscaping work it's a full written proposal — scope, phasing, materials, and total cost.
Nothing is hidden, nothing assumed. You can approve it with a single tap, ask us to amend it, or simply leave it. There's no follow-up pressure, no "just checking in" messages.
We arrive on the day we said we would. You don't need to be home unless you want to be. As the day — or the project — progresses you'll get small, gentle WhatsApp updates. A photo when we start, a photo when we finish, nothing in between unless something needs your input.
The invoice arrives only after the work is done and you're satisfied. If something needs another pass, that's what we do. No extra charge, no awkward conversation.
Just a few questions. Just a moment. The rest can wait.
